To change the Location of your data files used by Outlook Express, first move the files to the new location. Your old files can be found at \Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Express.

We strongly suggest that you Copy the files first, and after you are satisfied that Outlook Express is working correctly, and storing your files in the new location you can delete the old files. Take a look at ABF Outlook Express Backup.

To do this, follow the next steps:

1. Close Outlook Express
    
2. Open the Registry Editor click on the Start button on your taskbar, then click on Run and type "regedit" and click on OK to start the regedit utility.
    
3. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0 (see picture 1).

4. Find the value named Store Root in the right-hand pane.
    
5. Double-click and enter the complete path to the new location.
    
6. The modifications you made will be in effect after you restart Outlook Express.
